This part of the book was very interesting. Just seeing what he did with the rest of his life and that he got back to civilian life alright makes me happy. It is really cool that he was so interested in poetry. What caught me the most was that he was thinking about becoming a communist, after he fought for democracy. Luckily he didn’t join the communist party and become a victim of the red scare.
I love how he talked about how the war affected more than just the soldiers that fought in it. It affected the civilians back at home.
